The Promised Land and the Wilderness
Martin Luther King, Jr., in his famous speech, said he’d looked over into the Promised Land. The Promised Land is a powerful metaphor for the world that we journey toward. Can we see it from here? Will we know when we reach it? Or is it possible that this wilderness in which we wander is, in fact, the Promised Land we seek?
Escaping Freedom
Many addictions are fueled by a desire to escape. But addiction creates its own prison from which it can feel like there is no escape, both for the addict and for all those who care about the addict. (Due to an error in recording, the first minute was deleted. )
